Triple-T Restaurant-Gardena

Triple-T Restaurant-South Bay

What: Triple-T Restaurant

Where: Gardena

For: All Ages

Triple-T was a restaurant that I discovered on Instagram because of the beauty of their mermaid smoothie.  With two young girls, mermaids are the bane of their existence, so when I found out that this restaurant was literally right around the corner from our house I knew I had to go.  I ended up loving Triple-T so much that I went twice in three days, bringing my entire family the second time.

The Restaurant

Although the restaurant is located in an older area of Gardena, the restaurant itself is modern and up-to-date.  There is a beautiful angel wing mural when you walk in, and the lighting fixtures are updated.  A high wood bar lines the floor to ceiling windows on the wall facing the street, and there are ample tables and booths in the main dining area.

The Drinks

The drinks at Triple-T make it worth it to visit this restaurant.  As I said before, the mermaid drink is our favorite.  However, they also have ombre and rainbow colored boba drinks, milk tea boba, smoothies and coffee.  You can pick from a variety of smoothies for countless combinations that create beautiful colors when combined.  If you dine in, you can get your drink in an adorable mason jar.

The Food

The food is Asian Fusion (Chinese, Thai and Vietnamese), and it’s wonderful.  We ordered two plates of chicken fried rice and a plate of Cajun fries that ended up feeding four people!  The first time I went I ordered chow mein, teriyaki chicken, and chicken fried rice that left us with leftovers for two meals the next day.  The portions for every dish were huge.

I have a special place in my heart for any type of Asian food (maybe considering I’m half Filipina!), and I cannot stop raving about the chicken in the fried rice.  It was some of the best chicken I’ve ever had.  The kids also couldn’t get enough.  What’s even better is that patrons can come any time of day to enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The Crowd

Since Triple-T is next to El Camino College, there were a bunch of college kids there every time I went.  There were also a few families with kids.  Parking is either in the front or around back, and there was no wait each time I went there.  I felt comfortable getting take-out and eating our food in the restaurant.

Cost

This place is where I got the best bang for my buck.  Every plate was under $10.  We ordered three plates and four drinks for a final bill of under $50.  I not only plan to go back, but I will probably make this a bi-weekly thing for our family night.
